Our first store was located in the Memorial Student Union at Arizona State University. It was just a little joint – only 500 square feet to be exact.  We (there were three of us at the time) were awarded the spot (state contract, you know) on August 17th.  We kicked in 3,500 CDs from our own collections to serve as used stock, and then proceeded to build the store, including bins, within one week.  We opened on August 24th.\n\n\n\nIn 2001, we moved to a bigger, better location in the M.U. food court.  We were able to bring in more product, including the expansion of DVDs and vinyl.  We had a great run there, including lots of amazing free shows, and remained there until the fall of 2007. On the first day of November, an upstairs fire in the Memorial Union did massive damage to the building, and it had to be closed for three months. When the building partially re-opened, we decided to give our notice and look for a different location.\n\nAfter months of looking and negotiations, we found what we feel is the perfect spot. Our new store will open in mid-September.\n\nWe look forward to seeing you all again.
